Visual Noise

Motion Design | After-Effects | Audio-Visual Study

What it is:

An experiment in turning sound into shape. I built a basic audio visualizer in After Effects, then ran different clips through it: adults playing, adults laughing, kids playing, kids laughing. The audio visualizer settings stayed the same, only the inputs changed. I find the results fascinating, especially when you look closely at the minute details and overlapping forms.

There’s no real purpose to this experiment, just wanted to see what sound looks like when it’s having fun.

What’s inside:

Screams & Giggles

I collected the joyful (and chaotic) noises of kids and adults doing what they do best: being loud.

Wiggly Shapes

A DIY visualizer built in After Effects, applied consistently across all inputs for clean comparison.

Glamour Shots

Stills that feel like art. Abstract, noisy, layered, and awfully pretty.
