Trash Theory
Color Theory | Found Materials | Experimental Design | Mixed Media | Rules-Based Design
What it is:
Trash, but art. Literal garbage, turned in for a grade.
This assignment asked students to collect trash in every color of the color wheel and make something with it. Anything. A collage, a sculpture, a color wheel shrine to consumer waste… whatever felt right. It was part color theory, part material play, part excuse to get outside and touch grass. Some students loved it. Some were mildly horrified. Everyone made something unexpected.
What’s inside:
Trash Color Wheels
Literal and interprative takes on the rainbow using found garbage.
Unexpected Materials
From food wrappers to flowers, nothing was off limits.
Free-Form Outcomes
