What it is:
Trash, but art. Literal garbage, turned in for a grade.
This assignment asked students to collect trash in every color of the color wheel and make something with it. Anything. It was mostly color theory, but also a little bit of material play, and a big excuse to force my students to get outside and touch grass. Some students loved it and some were mildly horrified. But everyone made something cool and unexpected.
