Fieldwork, Visualization & Materialities: “Working With” in Tarlabaşı, Istanbul
This short academic article was part of a larger publication titled “Political Ecology as Practice: A Regional Approach to the Anthropocene.” The following designs are sketches presented as proposals for page design that were not adopted, and therefore are not finalized (hence, no kerning/tracking the type, I know you noticed).
The writers of this article focused on the idea of “working with” rather than “working on” the members of the community while doing their research. The designs reflect this idea as the heart of the work.
